Trees

I have always felt an attraction to trees, particularly the old and knotted. A fascination which began as a child where the tree in our school playground was the place to find me, imagining up stories of fairy folk living in its creases and cervices. Later learning what wonderful habitats trees are and their importance to our environment has placed them high in my estimation. This project is inspired by the intricate beauty and sheer resilience of trees. Trees which are landmarks, trees which are fruitful and a larder and stage for significance in my life. Each expressed in a way that suits their character and my commitment to detailed craftsmanship and passion for blending organic forms with contemporary artistic expression.
